The open-plan living area includes a designer kitchen, a living room with a TV, and a dining area. The kitchen boasts modern appliances, a separate scullery, and a guest WC.

Your kitchen amenities include a Smeg oven, two Snomaster wine and drinks coolers, a Smeg French double door fridge and freezer, a Nespresso pod coffee machine, a blender, a deep-frying machine, a Snomaster ice machine, and a chest freezer.

Outdoor Oasis: Enjoy outdoor entertainment with a Megamaster Gas Braai, Weber Charcoal Braai, a deck bar, loungers, a lower deck lounge and dining area, upper deck undercover seating, a swimming pool, and a kayak.

The Bungalow includes in the house tariff the use of a A 21 ft “Banana” Boat (Pequeno), which travels very comfortably in the Bay. It has a 60 HP Suzuki 4-stroke Engine, which is quiet and economical. It also has a few sets of snorkelling equipment, however if you have your own, it is recommended you bring your personal equipment..

It is suitable for visits to:

Santa Maria village at high-tide;
Flamingo bay at spring-high tide;
the beach on the inside of Inhaca;
snorkelling in the Santa Maria Channel or the corner near Camp Carlos;
snorkelling on the pristine Inhaca Snorkel sites a few kms away on an incoming tide;
any trips inside the bay within line-of-sight of the house (5 kms).

The boat is not suitable for water-skiing or tubing, and no trips to Portuguese Island or Inhaca far side may be done with this boat, please enquire re the Superduck for these excursions..

Flamingo Bay is highly recommended around full moon or new moon. If you leave the house 2.5 hours before the spring-tide, you can snorkel on Inhaca, then 1 hour before the high, you will be able to go into Flamingo Bay Estuary, travel very slowly right up the ‘river’ just enjoying the most wonderful nature and bird life. Be sure to take a cool-box for sun-downers and a jacket for the return trip!

Antonio, the house manager, will be the skipper. No client may drive this boat please.

There are 6 sets of snorkelling equipment (some kids, some adults) x2 Canoes and x2 SUP’s.

It comes with 25L fuel for a 7 day booking. This is usually adequate, should you require more fuel, same can be arranged with Antonio for your own account. The house boat is only available during standard staff hours, should you require access before or after these hours, please request in advance.

The Bungalow offers 4 sea facing bedrooms en-suite and can sleep 10 guests comfortably.

Bedroom 01

Bedroom 1 – King size bed with aircon and a ceiling fan. The newly renovated en-suite bathroom has a shower, bath, basin and wc.

Bedroom 02

Bedroom 2 – King size bed and one single bed or three single beds with aircon and a ceiling fan. The newly renovated en-suite bathroom has a shower, basin and wc.

Bedroom 03

Bedroom 3 – King size bed and one single bed or three single beds with aircon and a ceiling fan. The newly renovated en-suite bathroom has a shower, basin and wc.

Bedroom 04

Bedroom 4 – King size bed or two single beds with aircon and a ceiling fan. The newly renovated en-suite bathroom has a bath, shower, basin and wc.

Facilities

The house is ideally suited for up to 10 guests in the 4 bedrooms, has un-capped Starlink Wifi and DSTV.

The exceptionally large designer kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary appliances. Two large new fridges and a small chest freezer are supplied. New large Smeg -gas and electric oven.

The separate modern bar with under counter fridges and coffee station equiped with a Nespresso machine (just bring pods) , for early morning coffee and drinks for later in the day.

Water quality is fit for drinking and ice is made daily. (Large commercial ice maker for your convenience)

In addition, there is a new large out door Megamaster gas braai, as well as a weber charcoal braai for your cooking preference, please bring your own firelighters and charcoal as necessary.

Included in our rate is a 21 Ft boat “Pequeno”, equipped with a 60HP Suzuki for small outings, snorkelling, visits to the mangroves, or just a sundowner in the evening.

Low Season 2025

R9,925/night for bookings of 7 days or longer; R12,030/night for weekends only with a minimum stay of 2 days; R10,790/night for 3-6 nights

Ideally you should try to share a house with other families so that the price is attractive for 8-10 people. A 5th bedroom can be made available for an occasional overflow, as we have a cottage close by, that sleeps 2 in a private en-suite facility.

Due to demand and preference for longer bookings, mostly for at least 7 days or longer by most foreign visitors, we are not able to offer confirmed bookings for only 2 nights long in advance.

To accommodate Maputo residents who often only wish to visit for a weekend, we are happy to make a provisional reservation, but can only offer confirmation 4 weeks in advance if a booking is only for 2 nights, or 6 weeks in advance if the booking is for 3 nights.

High season 2025:

Easter Holidays we recommend at least 7 nights for peak season. Tariff is R14,490/night with R15,105/night applicable for the Easter weekend portion. Due to high demand, we try to optimise the bookings over peak periods.

December 2025/New Year weeks Tariff varies from R16,215 – R17800 /night – We are almost fully booked over December 2025. Please check the calendar regularly for any changes, or email ops@moz.co.za for enquiries.

Optional Extra: If you would like to rent a boat for your stay, we can offer you the exclusive use of a 7m semi-rigid boat, a Superduck with 2x 60 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engines. It comes with a skipper and may be used to visit anywhere around the peninsula: snorkelling, trips to Portuguese Island or Inhaca, water-skiing, tubing, fishing in the bay, sun downer cruises etc. The cost is R2,800/day and will apply for the full duration of your visit. 20 litres of fuel/day are included per 6 night visit or pro-rata for shorter stays. This adds a comprehensive experience to an already fabulously exciting visit. Equipment such as water-skis, tubes (sit in double or lie down double), snorkelling equipment, beach chairs and a shade gazebo are included for use on excursions. Fishing out at sea can also be offered, with a small add-on fee. This is a very popular offering and is booked almost always by visitors, unless they have their own boat.

For 3+ day rentals: The cost will be R2,985/day and should apply for the full duration of your visit. Fuel allocation is 20 litres of fuel/day. This is included but any extra consumption will be charged for at local fuel cost per litre. This adds a comprehensive experience to an already fabulously exciting visit. Equipment such as water-skis, tubes, ski-rope, life-jackets, snorkelling equipment, beach chairs and a shade gazebo are included for use on excursions. There is no limit to the hours you may enjoy the boat, but any additional fuel will be for visitor’s cost at approx. R500/25 litres (depends on fuel cost)

For short stay rentals of 1 or 2 days only, cost will be R3,840/day with a fuel allocation of 40 litres/day included. Please note – the fee does not include any snorkelling or Island taxes that are payable when visiting Inhaca.

If you wish to fish off the beach in the bay, in the channel or on the Inhaca point, we recommend you take along your own light weight ‘flick sticks’, reels and basic tackle for your enjoyment. The tackle should consist of light weight spoons, various shape and size lures, onda ondas etc. Unfortunately fishing off Super Duck is not on offer, but there are many points where you can be delivered and dropped off to fish off the shore.

Deep Sea Fishing charters:

For all open ocean activities, please request our offshore fishing promo (see separate mail for fishing & whale watching) will use a 30Ft Yamaha Cuddie with 2 x 150hp Suzuki 4-stroke outboards. This avoids concerns about potential rough seas and is a safer, more spacious option.
