Braby Villa has 4 bedrooms en-suite and sleeps 10 comfortably; PLUS an optional Cottage that can sleep 2 extras; a modern kitchen and scullery with extra fridges and freezers; an indoor and outdoor dining area; a lounge with sliding doors, leading onto a braai deck, beautiful spacious shaded decks; a swimming pool; outdoor pool lounge, outdoor dining and coffee table seating area under a huge acacia tree; sunken lounge and raised beach braai area. The house is strategically placed on the water’s edge, on one of the awesome front sites on the bay, surrounded by a splendid indigenous forest. The views of Inhaca and the sunsets in late afternoon are magnificent. All rooms have powerful ceiling fans. The house has WIFI, DSTV, 3 canoes, a SUP and a windsurfer for your enjoyment. INCLUDED IS A 17FT BOAT WITH 2 X 60HP 4-strokes, big enough for 10 pax, for trips to Inhaca, Portuguese Island, snorkelling, fishing, water-skiing, tubing and more. The house boat is only available during standard staff hours, should you require access before or after these hours, please request in advance.

Braby Villa offers 4 sea-facing double bedrooms en-suite, one is a family room with 2 extra singles, and it can sleep a maximum of 10 guests. It has a separate guest loo and a spacious, private outside shower under a beautiful Milkwood tree.

Bedroom 01

Bedroom 1 has 2 singles xl pushed together (with a convertor if you like = King size Bed) & 2 x 3/4 xl beds. The large double bathroom has a spacious shower, double basins, loo & bidet.

Bedroom 02

Bedroom 2 (master) has 2 x 3/4 beds pushed together, effectively a King-size option or 2 single. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, ball & claw bath, double basins, loo and bidet. There is also an awesome outside shower.

Bedroom 03

Bedroom 3 has 2 adult singles pushed together (with a convertor if you like = King Size Bed) or seperated. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, double basin and loo. It also has easy access to the outside shower.

Bedroom 04

Bedroom 4 has 2 adult singles pushed together or King Size bed.The bathroom has a shower, double basin, loo and bidet.

Braby Cottage

Bedroom 5 has a queen size XL bed. The bathroom has a shower, basin, loo. There is a kitchenette and outdoor dining area.

*All bedrooms are linked to the main area with wooden boardwalks and have powerful ceiling fans.

Facilities

The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary appliances and every accessory you could require. There is a separate spacious scullery with extra fridge and freezer capacity

We have a reverse osmosis pure water system for plenty of excellent drinking water. Abundant ice volumes are made daily in a dedicated freezer.

The covered dining room opens onto a spacious deck under a large Acacia Karoo (sweet thorn) and a swimming pool with comfortable bench seating area to soak up some sun rays.

There is an outdoor dining area as well. A smart TV is available in Bedroom 1 for streaming Netflix if desired.

Boats may be moored safely directly in front of the lodge.

A gas trolley braai as well as a charcoal Weber braai are supplied.

Guests have the use of 3 double canoes, a SUP and a windsurfer.

A Wifi modem is available, with data consumption for the guests account – more info supplied in the booklet to be emailed.

The house is fully serviced daily by 4 staff members. A security guard is stationed at the house for the nights, who covers the furniture if it rains and washes the dishes in the scullery.

Boat Provided

17ft GAMEFISH Hull with 2 x 60 HP Mariner 4 strokes, WITH SKIPPER

The boat is included with your accommodation. The hull is a fibreglass 17ft GAMEFISH boat, fitted with 2 Mariner 4 stroke Bigfoot engines. It comes with a skipper, who knows the territory and channels, as well as the various locations worth visiting. The boat may be used to visit anywhere around the peninsula and the Islands.

What a fantastic advantage to have total control of your water sports and excursions during your visit! It is great to be able to check the weather and spontaneously choose what outing suits some or all of your family and friends. The boat is big enough to take the whole household of up to 10 pax.

Some of the wonderful boat excursions include:

snorkelling in the channel, at Inhaca or on the way to Portuguese Island.

trips to Portuguese Island or Inhaca Island for picnic lunches, Inhaca Village, The Maritime Museum, Luca’s Sea Food Restaurant on Inhaca.

water-skiing and tubing.

fishing in the bay (please bring own equipment), or in the channel on an incoming tide, or drop off on Inhaca point. If you wish to charter a fishing boat, please enquire.

sundowner cruises; trips to Santa Maria Village, etc.

Whilst the boat is included with your accommodation package, fuel usage is for the account of the visitors. Our staff will reconcile the fuel used by you and replenish the stock at your cost, ready for the next visitors. Please make sure you budget for approx. 3-5 containers of 25 litres/week = 2,500-R3,500 of fuel for the week.

Equipment such as water-skis, tube, ski-rope, lifejackets, snorkelling equipment, beach chairs, umbrellas and a shade gazebo are included for use on excursions. There is no limit to the hours you may enjoy the boat, since fuel will be for visitor’s cost at approx. R27/ litre (M100/litre at Santa Maria village)

Low Season 2025

R9,925/night for bookings of 7 days or longer; R12,030/night for weekends only with a minimum stay of 2 nights; R10,790/night for 3-6 nights

Ideally you should try to share a house with other families so that the price is attractive for 6-10 people.

Due to demand and preference for longer bookings, mostly for 7 days or longer by most foreign visitors, we are not able to offer confirmed bookings for only 2 nights, long in advance.

To accommodate Maputo residents who often only wish to visit for a weekend, we are happy to make a provisional reservation, but can only offer confirmation 4 weeks in advance if a booking is only for 2 nights, or 6 weeks in advance if the booking is for 3 nights.

High season 2025:

Easter Holidays we recommend at least 7 nights for peak season. Tariff is R14,490/night with R15,105/night applicable for the Easter weekend portion. Due to high demand, we try to optimise the bookings over peak periods.

December 2025/New Year weeks Tariff varies from R16,215 – R17,800/night for the peak 3 weeks. We are almost fully booked over December 2025. Please check the calendar regularly for any changes, or email ops@moz.co.za for enquiries.

BOAT Included: The villa includes the use of a boat for your stay, a 17 FT GAMEFISH boat, with 2 x 60 HP Mariner 4-stroke engines. It comes with a skipper and may be used to visit anywhere around the peninsula: snorkelling, trips to Portuguese Island or Inhaca, water-skiing, tubing, fishing in the bay, sun downer cruises etc. The cost is included, except fuel consumption, and will \apply for the full duration of your visit. This adds a comprehensive experience to an already fabulously exciting visit. Equipment such as water-skis, tube (sit in or lie down double), snorkelling equipment, beach chairs and a shade gazebo are included for use on excursions. Fishing out at sea can also be offered, with an add-on fee through one of the charter operators. This is a very popular offering and is booked by most visitors.
