Comfy Accommodation: This self-catering vacation rental is a well-equipped and stylishly decorated sanctuary. The large kitchen is central to the living area with adding dining and lounge areas.
All four bedrooms are en-suite and have ceiling fans, three of which also have air-conditioning, ensuring your utmost comfort.
The house features a private garden and pool, raised multi-level decks, providing an unparalleled view of the exquisite sunsets over the Bay of Maputo.
Friendly Service: Casa Vida is staffed with a house manager, Marcello, who is assisted by two local ladies during the day. They will take care of room cleaning, laundry, kitchen cleaning and help with arranging any excursions you may wish to embark on. Marcello is also an excellent fisherman and a qualified skipper.
Explore Beautiful Mozambique: Make the most of your Mozambican experience by undertaking excursions to the mangroves, indulging in snorkelling, spotting flamingos, or visiting the neighbouring island, Inhaca, home to the world-renowned Luca’s Taverna.
The villa also comes equipped with its own house boat – “Tinto” a 21ft Yamaha boat with Yamaha outboards included with a minimum stay of 3 nights for all new bookings. 25L fuel is included for the stay. Please note only the house skipper may pilot the boat for safety reasons.
This is very nice for exploring southern Inhaca, going snorkelling close by and Santa Maria.
The house boat is only available during standard staff hours, should you require access before or after these hours, please request in advance.

Facilities
The house is suited for 10 guests in the 4 bedrooms and includes free wi-fi.
On the raised main deck there is a large undercover dining area, an integrated charcoal braai and a casual seating area literally hanging above the high tide. There is also a more secluded undercover lounge area and a private pool, outdoor shower and tanning deck in the garden.
The dining table seats ten people and there is ample casual seating.
The large kitchen boasts modern appliances and a guest WC.
The kitchen amenities include an electric Bosch oven with a five-plate gas hob, wine cooler, drinks fridge and double door fridge and freezer. There is also a Nespresso pod coffee machine, airfryer, microwave, toaster, kettle, ice making machine and a dishwasher. A hand mixer, blender and coffee plungers are also provided.

Low Season 2025
R9,925/night for bookings of 7 days or longer; R12,030/night for weekends only with a minimum stay of 2 days; R10,790/night for 3-6 nights
Ideally you should try to share a house with other families so that the price is attractive for 8-10 people.
Due to demand and preference for longer bookings, mostly for at least 7 days or longer by most foreign visitors, we are not able to offer confirmed bookings for only 2 nights long in advance.
To accommodate Maputo residents who often only wish to visit for a weekend, we are happy to make a provisional reservation, but can only offer confirmation 4 weeks in advance if a booking is only for 2 nights, or 6 weeks in advance if the booking is for 3 nights.
High season 2025:
Easter Holidays we recommend at least 7 nights for peak season. Tariff is R14,490/night with R15,105/night applicable for the Easter weekend portion. Due to high demand, we try to optimise the bookings over peak periods.
December 2025/New Year weeks Tariff varies from R16,215 – R17,800/night – We are almost fully booked over December 2025. Please check the calendar regularly for any changes, or email ops@moz.co.za for enquiries.
Optional Extra: If you would like to rent a boat for your stay, we can offer you the exclusive use of a 7m semi-rigid boat, a Superduck with 2x 60 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engines. It comes with a skipper and may be used to visit anywhere around the peninsula: snorkelling, trips to Portuguese Island or Inhaca, water-skiing, tubing, fishing in the bay, sun downer cruises etc. The cost is R2,800/day and will apply for the full duration of your visit. 20 litres of fuel/day are included per 6 night visit or pro-rata for shorter stays. This adds a comprehensive experience to an already fabulously exciting visit. Equipment such as water-skis, tubes (sit in double or lie down double), snorkelling equipment, beach chairs and a shade gazebo are included for use on excursions. Fishing out at sea can also be offered, with a small add-on fee. This is a very popular offering and is booked almost always by visitors, unless they have their own boat.

For 3+ day rentals: The cost will be R2,985/day and should apply for the full duration of your visit. Fuel allocation is 20 litres of fuel/day. This is included but any extra consumption will be charged for at local fuel cost per litre. This adds a comprehensive experience to an already fabulously exciting visit. Equipment such as water-skis, tubes, ski-rope, life-jackets, snorkelling equipment, beach chairs and a shade gazebo are included for use on excursions. There is no limit to the hours you may enjoy the boat, but any additional fuel will be for visitor’s cost at approx. R500/25 litres (depends on fuel cost)
For short stay rentals of 1 or 2 days only, cost will be R3,840/day with a fuel allocation of 40 litres/day included. Please note – the fee does not include any snorkelling or Island taxes that are payable when visiting Inhaca.
If you wish to fish off the beach in the bay, in the channel or on the Inhaca point, we recommend you take along your own light weight ‘flick sticks’, reels and basic tackle for your enjoyment. The tackle should consist of light weight spoons, various shape and size lures, onda ondas etc. Unfortunately fishing off Super Duck is not on offer, but there are many points where you can be delivered and dropped off to fish off the shore.

For all open ocean activities, please request our offshore fishing promo (see separate mail for fishing & whale watching) will use a 30Ft Yamaha Cuddie with 2 x 150hp Suzuki 4-stroke outboards. This avoids concerns about potential rough seas and is a safer, more spacious option.
