Set directly on the shoreline of the Santa Maria Peninsula, Casa Vida is a beautifully renovated five-bedroom villa designed for relaxed, refined coastal living. With layered decks overlooking the Bay of Maputo, a private pool set within an indigenous garden, and effortless indoor–outdoor spaces, Casa Vida offers an exceptional Mozambican escape for families and small groups seeking privacy, comfort, and space.
The Home
Casa Vida is a fully renovated, upmarket five-bedroom beachfront home accommodating up to 10 guests in five bedrooms. Thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings, the house features elevated sea-facing decks, shaded lounging areas, and tranquil garden retreats, making it an ideal retreat for long, unhurried stays.
You’ll be cared for by our dedicated house manager, Marcello, and his fantastic team, who provide daily cleaning, laundry, and kitchen assistance. Marcello is also a qualified skipper and local expert who can help you arrange excursions and deep-sea fishing trips—or make your stay seamless and stress-free.
As part of your stay, enjoy complimentary use of our 21-foot touring boat, Tinto. Our house manager, Marcello, will happily take you on a boat tour to explore the stunning area.
Living & Entertaining
The raised main deck is the social heart of Casa Vida, featuring a large undercover dining area, integrated charcoal braai, and relaxed seating with sweeping views across the bay toward Maputo. Sunsets from this deck are a daily highlight, with roll-down blinds offering comfort in less settled weather.
A newly built indoor snug provides a cosy retreat with built-in seating, a small work desk, an ever-growing library, a smart TV, and a separate guest loo.
Below, a covered lower deck sits beneath mature trees and offers a comfortable lounge area and an additional dining or games table, cooled by an afternoon breeze.
Kitchen & Amenities
The modern, well-equipped kitchen is designed for effortless self-catering and entertaining. It includes an electric oven and five-plate gas hob, double-door fridge freezer, wine chiller, drinks fridge, Nespresso pod machine, air fryer, ice machine, dishwasher, and a full range of small appliances.
Starlink Wi-Fi allows guests to stay connected while still enjoying a true escape.
Garden & Pool
The indigenous garden is a calm, private oasis filled with dune forest trees and coastal planting. A private pool, tanning deck, and outdoor shower complete the experience.
Bedroom 1 – Garden view
A newly renovated, highly private garden-facing bedroom with a raised king-size bed, air-conditioning, and ceiling fan. The en-suite bathroom features a large shower, double basins, and a separate toilet, along with a private outdoor shower.
Bedroom 2 & 3 – Garden View (Identical rooms)
These two adjoining bedrooms are identical in layout and comfort. Each includes two single beds, air-conditioning, and a ceiling fan, with a generous en-suite bathroom and large shower.
Bedroom 4 – (Poolside)
A spacious bedroom with direct access to the pool, offering a king-size bed, air-conditioning, and a ceiling fan. The en-suite bathroom includes a large shower and a separate toilet.
Bedroom 5 – (Sea facing Master Suite)
The elevated master suite is entirely private and sea-facing, opening onto a wrap-around veranda with a sheltered seating area above the beach. The room features both a king-size bed and a ¾ bed as well as a ceiling fan.
The elegant bathroom includes a freestanding bath with sea views, double basins, and a separate toilet, with stairs leading directly to the main walkway, pool deck, and outdoor shower.

Low Season 2026
R10,620/night for bookings of 7 days or longer.
Due to demand and preference for longer bookings, mostly for at least 7 days or longer by most foreign visitors, we are not able to offer confirmed bookings long in advance.
High season 2026:
Easter Holidays we recommend at least 7 nights for peak season. Tariff is R16,230/night with R16,920/night applicable for the Easter weekend portion. Due to high demand, we try to optimise the bookings over peak periods.
December 2026/New Year weeks Tariff varies from R18,160 – R19,935/night .

Optional Extra: If you would like to rent a boat for your stay, we can offer you the exclusive use of a 7m semi-rigid boat, a Superduck with 2x 60 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engines. It comes with a skipper and may be used to visit anywhere around the peninsula: snorkelling, trips to Portuguese Island or Inhaca, water-skiing, tubing, fishing in the bay, sun downer cruises etc. The cost is R2,985/day and will apply for the full duration of your visit. 20 litres of fuel/day are included per 6 night visit or pro-rata for shorter stays. This adds a comprehensive experience to an already fabulously exciting visit. Equipment such as water-skis, tubes (sit in double or lie down double), snorkelling equipment, beach chairs and a shade gazebo are included for use on excursions. Fishing out at sea can also be offered, with a small add-on fee. This is a very popular offering and is booked almost always by visitors, unless they have their own boat.

For 3+ day rentals: The cost will be R2,985/day and should apply for the full duration of your visit. Fuel allocation is 20 litres of fuel/day. This is included but any extra consumption will be charged for at local fuel cost per litre. This adds a comprehensive experience to an already fabulously exciting visit. Equipment such as water-skis, tubes, ski-rope, life-jackets, snorkelling equipment, beach chairs and a shade gazebo are included for use on excursions. There is no limit to the hours you may enjoy the boat, but any additional fuel will be for visitor’s cost at approx. R500/25 litres (depends on fuel cost)
For short stay rentals of 1 or 2 days only, cost will be R3,840/day with a fuel allocation of 40 litres/day included. Please note – the fee does not include any snorkelling or Island taxes that are payable when visiting Inhaca.
If you wish to fish off the beach in the bay, in the channel or on the Inhaca point, we recommend you take along your own light weight ‘flick sticks’, reels and basic tackle for your enjoyment. The tackle should consist of light weight spoons, various shape and size lures, onda ondas etc. Unfortunately fishing off Super Duck is not on offer, but there are many points where you can be delivered and dropped off to fish off the shore.
Deep Sea Fishing charters:
For all open ocean activities, please request our offshore fishing promo (see separate mail for fishing & whale watching) will use a 30Ft Yamaha Cuddie with 2 x 150hp Suzuki 4-stroke outboards. This avoids concerns about potential rough seas and is a safer, more spacious option.
